CLASSES

Basic

Everyone without prior Pilates instruction must begin with the basics. Beginner classes focus on the fundamental components of the Pilates Method and serves as an introduction to the core, alignment, and apparatus setup. Work is done on the Universal Reformer, a spring loaded carriage on rollers, invented by Joseph Pilates. Work may include basic exercises on the Reformer, Mat or other apparatus. If you are new to Pilates, you must start with the Welcome to Pilates Special prior to joining any group classes.

Intermediate

Intermediate Classes continue to develop the Pilates vocabulary to include Intermediate classwork on the Reformer. The pace increases, as well as the strength level, demanding that each student work with control and in alignment. Must be proficient at a Basic Level and familiar with apparatus setup. Work includes exercises on the Reformer, Tower, or other apparatus and may combine elements of both. Requires a strong core to control the springs/push-through bars safely and effectively. If you are new to Pilates, you must start with the Welcome to Pilates Special prior to enrolling in any group classes.

Advanced

Advanced classes require a full understanding of all Intermediate classwork. Requires the ability to work with precision and control at a quick pace. Advanced Classes include & introduce Advanced exercises. Participants must be proficient at an Intermediate Level, be injury-free, and ready for Advanced work. Includes exercises on the Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Mat or other apparatus. Advanced Classes are not recommended for those who are new to Pilates or unfamiliar with equipment setup. *Requires Instructor approval.
